Satara winner of the Millennium Award for 2009
In the beautiful setting of the provincial government building in Haarlem, Satara was presented with the Millennium Award for 2009 in recognition of its contribution to the achievement of the UN Millennium Development Goals. Satara had been trailing up until the last days, but our tireless voting campaign eventually succeeded in propelling Satara into first position. Thanks must go to everyone who took the time to support us!

The prizes include €2,000 in cash, newspaper publicity as well as €2000 worth of newspaper advertising space, and a free advisory consultation at Rabobank, a leading financial institution with extensive involvement in sustainability initiatives. Most important though is the recognition Satara has been rewarded with and the awareness that has been created throughout the voting campaign.
