The upcoming period is a truly exciting one for Satara, our own springtime if you like. After a long and at times hard journey we are now ready to showcase the fruit of our efforts.

The second big piece of news is that on Saturday, 24 April we launched the first Satara Concept Store, http://satarafashion.com/concept-store.html, to showcase live the Satara spring/summer 2010 collection, until May 25.

Dear Friends, most of you have supported the creation and establishment of Satara in one way or another. So to begin with, we’d like to thank you for your support. We aim to be more than clothes, and more than sustainable fashion. We want to mobilize a movement of positive young people, inspire others and be inspired ourselves. We hope this first newsletter helps to spread the word about what we’re doing, and highlight the positive things that others are doing.
Satara wins second award, this time at the Re:Shape contest in Rotterdam!
On 24 October, the day of the United Nations, Satara was announced as the winner of the Re:Shape contest for 2009. The contest’s aim was to recognize innovative global ideas that are carried out by young entrepreneurs and contribute towards a better world. Satara winner of the Millennium Award for 2009
In the beautiful setting of the provincial government building in Haarlem, Satara was presented with the Millennium Award for 2009 in recognition of its contribution to the achievement of the UN Millennium Development Goals. Satara had been trailing up until the last days, but our tireless voting campaign eventually succeeded in propelling Satara into first position. Thanks must go to everyone who took the time to support us!
